MDF is a medium-density fiberboard, used in the manufacture of furniture, as well as in construction and so on.
It is an excellent base for mosaics!
MDF is practically not subject to change and warping due to changes in temperature and humidity in the room, and is sufficiently strong that it can be used as a basis for mosaic.
It is suitable for laying out mosaics made of such monumental materials as smalt and stone.
