Isolastic is an additive for mixing with Kerabond T, Kerafloor or Adesilex P10 compounds to improve their performance and elasticity, which brings them into compliance with the requirements of Class C2 (improved adhesive) according to the EN 12004 Euronorm, as well as Class S1 (elastic adhesive) or Class S2 (highly elastic adhesive) according to the EN 12002 Euronorm, depending on use, in pure form or diluted with water.
SCOPE OF APPLICATION SYSTEM ISOLASTIC+KERABOND T Adhesive fixing inside and outside: * ceramic tiles of any type (double and single firing, unglazed tiles, clinker, Tuscan tiles, glass mosaics, porcelain tiles, etc.); • natural stone and large-format (more than 30x30 cm) ceramic tiles.
Some applications • laying of ceramic tiles on heated floors • * external cladding with ceramic tiles and natural stone (facades, swimming pools, balconies, terraces); • wall cladding with ceramic tiles of precast concrete (load-bearing panels, bathrooms; walls in "tunnel" systems); • laying of ceramic tiles on old floors (faced with ceramic tiles, marble, terrazzo, wood, etc.); • laying of ceramic tiles on asphalt screeds and bases; * laying of ceramic tiles on deformable bases (drywall, reinforced concrete, asbestos cement, etc.).
ISOLASTIC+KERAFLOOR SYSTEM Adhesive fixing inside and outside: • large-format ceramic tiles (more than 30x30 cm) • * clinker tiles with a profiled back side, Tuscan tiles, natural stone and other materials that require an adhesive layer thicker than 5 mm; • ceramic tiles on bases with irregularities up to 15 mm. Some typical applications • laying large-format ceramic tiles and stone slabs, including on deformable bases (facing walls, balconies, swimming pools, terraces); * laying large-format ceramic tiles on heated floors.
ISOLASTIC, MIXED WITH WATER IN A RATIO OF 1:1 + ADESILEX P10 Laying glass or ceramic mosaics on a paper substrate or mesh on floors or vertical surfaces inside and outside premises. Some typical applications • Laying glass and ceramic mosaics on non-absorbent surfaces (Mapelastic, Mapegum WPS, tiles, etc.). • Laying glass and ceramic mosaics in swimming pools, storage facilities, or on top of absorbent surfaces. * Laying of glass or ceramic mosaics on flexible substrates (drywall, cement reinforced substrates, wooden substrates, provided that they are well fixed).
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS Isolastic is a very fluid pinkish - white emulsion consisting of an aqueous dispersion of a highly elastic polymer, which, when mixed with cement-based adhesives, provides the latter with good adhesion to all substrates after full water saturation, as well as elasticity and tightness after setting.
